Rick Von Pfeil is a 5th generation Central Texan with roots in Taylor and rural East Williamson County.

"Both sides of my family were involved in local businesses, from farming and BBQ on my mothers side, to real estate and ironworks on my fathers side. I attended St. Mary’s Catholic School then graduated from Taylor High School. I earned a Bachelors and Master's degree in Finance at Baylor University before moving on to a successful career in private industry — mostly in health care, high tech, and business consulting."

After working more than 25 years in business, he returned to Taylor with his wife Pam to help care for his elderly parents.

"I understand what it’s like to be the only Democrat in the room. I grew up in a conservative household, studied religion at Baylor and worked in the corporate world for years. I want to take my experience building bridges and finding common values to restore a sense of community to the district, then take that same approach to Congress."
